Village Bakery are a family run business supply freshly baked goods throughout the North West.Having large refrigerated warehouses, energy consumption is something they are very aware of.
The system was spread over roofs across the whole of their Wrexham site. Looking to maximise PV generation as many roofs as possible were used to allow the installation to reach 250kW. The PV installation consisted of 1000 Solar World 250W solar panels and 15 Solaredge inverters. Due to the potential shading issues the owner opted for a Solaredge system which not only offers improved efficiency it gives panel level monitoring. A G59/3 relay switch was installed in the plant room. This was then witness tested by SSE energy network and approved for grid connection.
The Solar Panels – The site owner opted for a premium brand in the solar panel market, Solar World. 1000 x 250W Solar World Poly Crystaline PV modules were installed.
SolarEdge Power Optimisers – Installed behind every panel on the system is a Power Optimiser. They optimise voltage, reduce the effects of shading and allow multiple panel orientations.
SolarEdge Inverters – The installation comprised of 14 SE17000 PV inverters. They come with a 12 year warranty as standard
The G59 Panel – As part of the electricity grids requirements a G59 panel was installed in the plant room.
